Rumi Winter Warmer
A Morning of Restorative Yoga & Persian Poetry

Take exit from the flurry of the pre Christmas rush to slow down and unwind. Nurture yourself with a morning of heart warming Sufi poetry and restorative yoga in the beautiful gardens of the Insole Court.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle yet powerful therapy that quietens thoughts, eases tension and restores energy. It encourages the body to discharge stress, open in its own time and rejuvenate from a ‘deep reservoir’ of energy.

Throughout the morning we will explore ways of moving mindfully, stretching softly and settling into steadying postures for relaxation. In addition you will experience a deeply restorative spinal twist sequence  and the support of warm weighted props (hot water bottle, blankets and bolsters) for you to release into and rest upon.

Inter woven through the peacefulness of this yoga session will be moments to breathe in and enjoy the beautiful poetry of Rumi, Rumi is a friend to the soul, his words touch upon the paradox and bitter sweet moments of our life with great compassion. His stories and metaphors resonate with heart and mind and inspire hope, understanding and belonging.

Bring a friend, bring your neighbour, bring your mum. Spaces are limited to 8

“Come, come, whoever you are.
Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair. come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times.
Come, yet again , come , come.”
